The student program INNO-SAE finished successfully with public presentation of 7 interdisciplinary student projects. Student teams were formed from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Philosophy and Faculty of Agriculture and they developed innovative applications in different fields enabling smart environments. For instance, Place to GO enables fast and efficient overview of locations of interest for a customer that can also reserve a table online. SMART-ORDERS facilitates restaurant operation by generating unique QR codes for orders. Smart Extractor is an automated solution for extraction of etheric oils. SMMEF introduces efficient and cheap sensor solution for monitoring water flow in homes. e-TT is a web-based platform for easy and simple communication between clients and psychologists enabling online counselling. A.D.A is an IoT solution for monitoring ambient parameters in vineyards. Finally, MacSign is a system for two-way communication enabling conversion from Macedonian text to Macedonian sign language and vice versa.
We had the honour to host the president of the country, Mr. Stevo Pendarovski, who was very interested in the presentation of all projects and emphasized the importance of the INNO-SAE program for stimulating student interest and showcasing student potential in innovations.
